This principle is defined as the "politics based on strict adherence to the policies and principles of a political party regardless of the public interest" which explicitly highlights the controversy of a democracy that is based on party politics. In the current UK political climate, party politics is being shown to disintegrate the trust between the electorate and their Parties: people who are supposed to represent the people, not infuriate them. Our first issue explores the debate of whether party politics is effective and whether there is any feasible alternative to it, in a Western state. With commentary on many of the main political parties, including the Conservatives, the Labour Party, and the DUP, this culmination of political thought exhibits how the British youth generation truly feel about party politics and whether Britain is better off with, or without, it.
